Description
PREMIUM UDA
A treasured African pepper pod with remarkable aromatic character.
Premium Uda is composed of carefully selected dried pods of Xylopia aethiopica, a distinguished spice deeply rooted in West and Central African culinary traditions.
Recognized by its slender form and intensely aromatic profile, uda offers a warm composition of smoky, woody, gently peppery, and subtly resinous notes. Used with restraint, it lends remarkable depth to seasoned broths, pepper soup, stews, spice blends, and slow-simmered heritage dishes.
As the pods cook, their fragrance gradually infuses the pot, supporting meats, seafood, traditional aromatics, and other spices without overwhelming the recipe. They may be lightly toasted and crushed before use or added directly to cooking liquid according to the preferred heritage method.
Whether incorporated into a family pepper-soup blend, used to deepen a restorative broth, or added to a treasured regional preparation, Premium Uda brings authentic provenance, aromatic distinction, and refined pantry character to the table.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS
HERITAGE SPICE
A treasured aromatic pod deeply rooted in West and Central African culinary traditions.
SMOKY COMPLEXITY
Its warm, woody, gently peppery profile brings beautifully layered depth to the pot.
SLOW INFUSION
Whole or crushed pods gradually release their distinctive fragrance as soups, broths, and stews simmer.
VERSATILE PREPARATION
Ideal for pepper soup, seasoned broths, meat and seafood dishes, heritage spice blends, and slow-cooked stews.
THE POT AWAITS
Inspect the Premium Uda pods and wipe or rinse them lightly as needed. For a deeper aromatic character, toast the pods briefly in a dry pan over low heat, taking care not to burn them.
Crush or break the desired quantity before adding it to the cooking liquid, spice blend, soup, or stew. Begin with a modest amount, as uda possesses a naturally concentrated character.
Allow the dish to simmer so the spice can infuse gradually. Remove large pod fragments before serving when the recipe requires it.
Toast gently. Use sparingly. Let the aroma unfold.
